It swivels through a 180 degree arc, and it clicks in place in one of 5 positions: Straight vertical, left or right diagonal, and left or right horizontal.
And Dawg, I'm not doubting the quality of the OEM case, I just prefer that extra level of protection, because I have bad luck with banging my phones into stuff at waist level.
