Not for long Dawg, I'm getting my 7520 this weekend!!! I've had enough of this 7510 without BluTooth. I can't have my son looking cooler than me with a Scala 500 Headset.

Default working on holster issue

Hi guys- thanks for your testing and great responses.

We're working on the holster issue. We didn't design it to fall out on purpose... although it may seem like it.

I don't have a time-frame quite yet on new hoslter replacements- but as soon as I know I'll post- and send out replacements to anyone with proof of buying our B7500 product.

Yes, we standby our products- and yes, we'll fix major issues like this and replace everyone's product with a properly functioning one.

Until then- I've heard the phone only falls out when clipped on the right side and set to a horizontal angle? Anyone find otherwise?

Thanks for fixing this. It is a major problem for me because I could easily lose my unit with the use of your product, which gives me the shakes just to consider. Let us know when the fix is in. I'm back to my metal case in the interim. BTW, i use mine on my left hip, and it falls off more often than it stays on.

Dawg:

Did you get your skinit paste on? I'm thinking of ordering some myself. But I'm not sure if it would be compatible with this case. Do you know?

That's great to hear. Once the new holster is out, if it satisfies the others here in this thread, I will order this product for my 7520 also. Thanks for listening to us.

I have one of the tough skins and would have to agree on every point that everyone has made on this case.. especially the case covering up the top row of keys.. that needs fixed right away.

An email I got from developers at speck thought id share it with you all.

Hi Tommy,

I got some samples from the factory with a small fix on it to help the phone stay in the holster. I added a couple of ribs on the bottom of the cupped area to help with side-to-side motion. They need to be a bit taller, but it seems to be a step in the right direction.

The phone still needs to be lined up pretty well with the holster, but for now, I’ll send you a sample to see what you think.

This was (and is) the most important issue, so we are trying to deal with this one first.

Well I am glad you got somewhere, I spoke with someone at Speck and I felt a deep chill on the line. Working in high tech I get passionate about products but never to the extent that I ignore the fact that the user community has very valuable input. Everything here seems like pretty valuable feedback. The one anecdote about almost lost the BB save for the dog catching the drop really hit home with me.

Thanks

They contacted me and have been corresponding through this whole ordeal. I think they are taking a great sense of pride in their product to research and develop a fix.
