ATT rep says RIM will be giving away Bolds, didn't elaborate whether it would be vouchers or the actual device.

They will most likely mail it to you like they are doing with NY launch. I would say 99% chance they will not give them away there.

As of this afternoon the reps at my local AT&T store still did not have any demo stuff for the Bold, nor any idea when any of the promo stuff would even show up. "Hopefully before the 27th" is all the one rep would say, with a very disappointed expression. They HATE being kept in the dark. Without even the promo/demo gear showing up I doubt some actual units will be available.

Well I did realize one thing this am. With the developer conference going on in Santa Clara tonights event we be packed with RIM folks and others.

Now there's an AT&T Bold on eBay and it looks legit from the pics. Of course, a seller with only a 2 feedback rating is disconcerting, but the fact that they appear to be out in the wild makes me believe that they might indeed have some on hand for the launch party tonight.

Usually the launch party devices come in a different fancy gift box not the ugly orange ATT packaging.

The ones dispensed at the developer conference today were unbranded. We will see in a few hours.

Well the nay sayers can say nay cause we got our Bolds. So far I am pretty damn impressed. Love the screen ,keyboard and feel.
