Couldn't get the OTA to work, so I downloaded from website and installed. I'm a big fan. Excellent quality, recorded voice memo and emailed to my home computer. This gets added to my "must have" list of apps for the Pearl.

OTA download/install worked for me. I had to uninstall the previous version for the current version to install, otherwise the new install will error.

Before uninstalling the version currently installed, be aware that you will LOSE your saved voice recordings.

Default Selecting Storage Path doesn't work

Menu/Settings- go to the 'Path' entry (had to scroll on my 8100 screen).

Select the entry; opens a browser.

Select a folder; selecting an existing folder with subfolders (indicated by a '+' to the left) but the user cannot expand the folder.

I selected my 'SDCard' folder, returned to the application, recorded & saved an entry. Closed the app and went to Media Player; browsed to SDCard, selected the file and it played! So storing on the media card works, just not in user-selectable folders yet.

Looking pretty good

just curious any one know if you can plug in an external mic into the 2.5 port for this thing so you can receive better audio? I am really liking this think but I would like to be able to get the mic to receive a little better for lectures.

I e-mailed this to you guys, but I figured I'd type it in here too, to be a more "active" tester

After much usage of this program, once again, I don't see any bugs or errors in the program. Still, a few more recommendations for improvement, along with the previous recommendations I had:

-When sending the voice files, it would be great if the sent message showed up in the Blackberry message program, the same way that other sent e-mails/sms texts/etc. come up after you sent them; it helps the user verify that the e-mail was sent, other than just the verification in the voice recorder+ program itself.
-The ability to include the automatic e-mail signatures that are set up with the Blackberry addresses, the ability to have those automatically tacked on at the end of the e-mails with the voice files.
-A volume bar within the primary Voice Recorder screen, instead of the it only being accessible in the settings. I just realized that I could control the volume with the phone's volume buttons, but a volume bar on the primary Voice Recorder+ screen wouldn't hurt.
-Setting up the program to record phone conversations. I'm a journalist, and that would be great for phone interviews I have...I know it may be a lil high of a request, but I figured I'd try

-Also, I'd recommend making the "Enter" key work with the stop, record and play buttons in the recorder too. I think it would make it more efficient than only the use of the Trackwheel; no biggie, though.

Otherwise, I'd say that this is a very efficient program. The ability to save the files to the phone's storage card is very useful, and the option to e-mail the voice files in .mp3 format was very useful as well. I'll send more as I see it, but keep up the good work.

Default Phone recording

This is a VERY COOL idea. I'm thinking about attorneys, journalists, and us mechanics could find this feature useful for 'reminding' clients of what they've said

The current version of the program works well. Wondering if it might be worth your development time to consider creating a branched project & build a 'Pro' VoiceRecorder...

Thanks, that link works.

Overall I love this program. But I have a question.

So I chose to save the files on my microSD card and the saved file format is .amr.

I copied those files and pasted them on my computer. I can't find any media players to play those files.

Just wondering if there is a way to save them as MP3 or other common audio files so that I can play them on my computer.
