How is the fit of that battery door? Loose, squeaks, rocking?

Why are you switching out the black trackball?

All of the above for me. I was very dissappointed in case-mate. I bought the black one and the tan one and both are the same all of the above.

I placed an order for the Case-Mate black backpack, and my credit card was charged. I then received an e-mail with a FedEx tracking number and a notice that my order was fulfilled. The next day I received an e-mail that indicated my order was not fulfilled because demand was too high, and that my order wouldn't be shipped for four to six weeks.

Um, no... don't charge my card, give me a tracking number, and then tell me that the order isn't actually being shipped. Bad business. That, and the numerous reviews of the item indicate that it is cheap and flimsy, pushed me to get a refund.

I won't ever buy anything from them as a result of this experience. Horrible.

ifononline, I have dealt with case-mate quite a bit over the last few months and I can say your experience is not typical. case-mate often does a good job with their customer service and order fulfillment.

As for the fit of the battery door, I am going to contact them to find out if that is something they will be looking to correct in the near future.

Yes please let me know also as the style and colors look great but the fit is just terrible almost bad enough to make you wonder if they even tried it on a Bold. Because of the style and colors I would give them another shot if they fix the fit. By the way customer service was great as far as order and delivery.

Hey everyone, I just got off the phone with my case-mate contact, and they have not seen the fit issue that you are reporting, during testing, so it is not the intended design. They ask you get in touch with them by emailing [email address]. They offer replacement of defective products within 90 days of purchase, so you should be good.

Be sure to explain what you are experiencing, so that it can be addressed it in future runs of the item.

Shaun I thought I would update. I sent them an email (misty g) and as usual got a very quick response. I told them I felt the 4.80 shipping cost to return should be on them do to the defective backs. Unfortunately they disagreed so I am out an additional $4.80. I also said if the newly designed product was in stock I would prefer replacement for the two I returned. Interestingly enough I guess that was always the game plan no matter when they finnish the redesign and manufacture which by the way is not done yet according to Misty G in the email. I stuck up for their customer service but I dont think I agree with this. Heres the breakdown

I like the product except by their own admission is defective.
I have to incur the cost of delivering defective battery backs to them. I would have kept them had they been made right. This was not a color or style change.

Is it me Shaun or do I have a legit ***** here? Anyway thats my update and I will update again when I receive something.

More of a reason I will not do business with this company again. They design a product that is defective, and they leave you with two options: keep the defective item, or pay to send it back. Sad. This is their mistake, and they should cover the costs of replacement including shipment.
