Default 9700 sim to iphone and back

Is it possible to have both the iphone data and bb data plan on one sim? I know it would cost more but much easier if I could switch back and forth without calling ATT each time I want to switch phones. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

My understanding was that when you register the iphone with the sim from your Blackberry, it replaces your BB data plan with an iphone one. Not true?

I dont know as I have to call now and request a data change....I dont see why I cant pay for both plans and just move from phone to phone??? I am willing to pay for both data plans 24/7. I am sure if I found anyone at att that understood what I want to do it could happen. They keep thinking I want to have both phones on at the same time but thats NOT what I want.......

I did the same up here in Canada on Rogers. Have an 8900 and added an iphone 3GS after the salesman promised the data plans would be interchangeable. After they screwed up and cancelled the BB plan I spent 20 mins on the phone with tech support and got it all square. Now both phones work as intended by simply switching the SIM back n forth. I had to give up my dedicated unltd BB email plan to a generic data plan that will work on iphone, but at the end of the day everything works but now I do need to keep an eye on my data usage, unlike before...(iphone's a hog!)

Default Yes, very possible

I do it with my T-mobile sim. It can be a pain to keep moving the sim back and forth; but it works fine. You can move the sim to any phones you have as long as they are unlocked or branded to the sim.

No, I have the same plan and switch sims to any of my phones I want to use...they don't require you call them to switch phones. I use an unlocked Iphone (dumps to Edge speed On Tmo because of the different 3g bands) and 8900 and 9700 blackberry and some other phones on my personal t-mobile account.

On AT&T I leave the sim in the company blackberry that I carry.

Tmobile never gives me trouble about switching phones daily or hourly if I like.

That would delete the point of using GSM and sim card if it doesn't work!

I should try it now with my AT&T sim;)

I'd think that because BIS includes (direct) internet AND push that, when inserted in an iPhone would still directly access the Internet.

The only problem I have found other than the time in calling att is if you dont the email will not work if you are on bb with the iphone and iphone data on the bb. Everything else works finr intenet phone ect. Just would be nice if you could auto change but for now I will continue to call. Evey att person I talk to are very nice and understand why I want to change periodically. I would change more if it was auto but for now its ok. I may go the two sims route and call forward so I have the data plan always correct. The problem with that is caller ID for business. They are exprcting a certain number and it could be different......
