Default Create your own BlackBerry Themes

Please Login to Remove!

With the new Plazmic CDK you can create themes for your BlackBerry, using the Theme Builder tool.
You can download it here: http://www.plazmic.com/en/products/index.shtml#content

But you'll have to be running 4.1 on your blackberry to load the themes.

Here's a screenshot of a theme I made in about 10 minutes:

And to prevent TONS of follow on posts, the only BB with 4.1 NOW is the 8700. None of the other carriers have released it and none have given dates for the release.

Geez, looks like the mods need to get with the times ;) The 7100i was the first BB out with 4.1, followed by the 7105 and the 8700.

Guest, thanks for that great software! I can't wait until 4.1 is out for all other handhelds so I can finally make my own theme!

This is terrific. We may soon see hundreds, if not thousands, of professionally designed themes. Does anyone one know if the CDK easily accommodates different size screens?

It can create 7100, 7200/7500 and 8700 themes (and their variants like the 7105).

It's really easy to use. Its basically drag and drop, or pick the image or color you want to use.

Either export the theme as an alx and load it with the desktop manager, or export it as jad, put it on a web server and load it OTA.

alx is probably easier, but make sure you load both the theme and theme_reader.

It’s not allowing me to export the files to either format. I can only save as a .thm file.

Got it working.

Here are some pics of what I made very quickly with the Theme Builder. I’ll work on some other, more presentable, themes later.

The colors are charcoal grey and red.

don't know if this is your problem, but when i just downloaded the plazmik packet, one of the disclaimers was that in order to do themes you also have to have the blackberry JDE 4.1

I did get that same disclaimer and I did download all the necessary files/programs but my problem was after installing the programs it asked me to restart my computer but I chose to restart later.

<<< Forgot to restart. LOL
