Default 9900 installed apps

Please Login to Remove!

I am concerned that the battery will be a weak point on my new 9900, i have been using a 9700 for the past two years and the battery life has been great for such an amazing phone, would it be advantageous to remove any unwanted apps from the new 9900 to improve battery life? I don't need facebook, youtube, bbm, games etc.

Battery life should be ok for you. You can always buy an extra battery and keep it charged and with you as a spare. If not, you can try these steps;

If you are not connected to a WiFi connection, then turn it off as searching for a signal can be battery draining.

Make sure that you have no apps that are left running in the background.

Hi, thanks i always remember to close apps as i travel a lot and apps open is a financial disaster usually due to roaming data charges as well as consuming battery life. I don't need to delete apps then to help if they are not running?

No, you do not need to delete any unused apps, unless you are not planning on using them. I tend not to keep apps that I never use.

Some apps use power when checking for new msgs (Twitter, FB, etc...)

If you switch between your network carrier and WiFi, I would suggest downloading a WiFi Manager app as well.

Automatically turns off your network connection when connected to a saved and/or public WiFi signal. Helps conserve battery by preventing your device from constantly searching for a WiFi signal.

Smart WiFi Manager is available from App World. I think it's 1.99

Cell Network or WiFi is a free one also available from App World.

Battery booster , & it is free. U can download at app world. Wifi manager seems to work for me for activating & deactivating wifi automatically in your selected locations.
