I don't think I have enough posts to start a thread, so I'm going to have to put this here...

I have Facebook on my Curve and it works great. When I get a notice via Facebook on my Blackberry (message, poke, tag, etc.) it shows up where it should on my desktop and lets me know that I have -- for example -- 5 notifications waiting. The only problem is that I also get these notifications as e-mails, so I'm sort of getting everything twice. I've tried turning off the e-mails via Facebook's website in settings, but then I don't receive both the e-mails or the notifications.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Go to facebook app on curve.

Options
Deselect "leave notifications on email server"

Be cool.

Default happened to me also

I had the same problem-- for some reason the facebook settings on my computer updated themselves. You have to go back into account settings, I believe it is, and change all those things that say, notify me if... (ex. someone adds me as a friend). Mine had all been set to "no." If you have the same problem I did, this should fix it when you change them to yes.

Yeah, my notifications were also turned off. It was painful until I read a post on here and went to fix them.

hnsimpson's advice is also great. No more cleaning out emails that were duplicates of ones I'd already received.

OK, I've both deselected the "leave notifications on e-mail server" and also gone into account settings and changed all the things I wanted to be sent notifications of to a "yes."

Still though, I'm getting both a Facebook notification in the Facebook app and an e-mail application in my e-mail folder. Everything is still doubled basically. :(
