Default Bluetooth Issues

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 9780, just checked to make sure it has the latest updates. The issue is this: I can connect to my GPS to use it as a handfree device via bluetooth. It works for about a week and then stops. This has happened a few times. One day, the GPS will start saying phone is connected, phone is disconnected, over and over again. I was wondering if it is the GPS (TomTom VIA 435, also just updated), however something similar is now happening in my other car (Hyundai) with built-in bluetooth.

Now when I try to connect, I set the BB to listen and the GPS to search. It identifies my phone, instead of prompting to connect to the GPS, my phone prompts to enter the passkey for "BCM2070B0, UART Class 2, 26Mhz, BT 2.0, PLC enabled." I tried 0000 as the GPS is instructed, but it doesn't work. Just keeps prompting over and over.

Anyone seen something like this or know how to troubleshoot?

Default Re: Bluetooth Issues

I solved the problem. A lot of TomTom users said resetting the GPS by holding down the power key for 15 seconds solved the problem. This didn't immediately solved the problem for me, but maybe it helped. After that, instead of having the BB listen and the GPS search, I had the BB do the search. It found "handsfree device", which turned out to be my GPS. Once I connected to that, and entered the code 0000 is connected up. We'll just have to wait and see if it stays working.
