I think what he means is, lets say I installed .148 OS and I want the .90 radio, how do you check if it actually installed. I am kind of in the same boat. I have the .148 but when I search and read all the posts about swapping the radios, I get stuck on the portion where it says "ignore the message that says downgrade". Am I supposed to downgrade or not?

In your case, you will know because will have to have edited and replaced the radio files in the OS installation.
So, did you?
that is just what I am looking for.. I used the swap a radio program and now I just want to make sure I am using the new radio version and not the old one..
Yes, that is what I did. I figured out that when you go to options, about, it shows v4.7.0.148 platform 4.0.0.114 which means that I have the .90 radio. The only problem I am having now is no browser. Did the HRT thing and re-sent service books numerous times and still nothing. Might have to go through the whole process again or try .76. Any ideas? Also, under options, advanced, service books, there is no browser service books anywhere.

As far as the OP was asking, all you have to do is look under options, about. It should give you the app version and the platform version. The platform is what you are looking for. To my knowledge, if you used .90 radio, it should say 114.
