Default Safe Mode

Please Login to Remove!

I just learned about this today:

Quote:
The BlackBerry Storm 9530 device has a feature that disables third-party applications from running in case you have problems with them. It’s a feature called Safe Mode. Enable it with the following steps:

1. Remove and reinsert the battery.

2. When the red LED light goes out, press and hold the Escape key as the device is loading.

3. When the dialog appears, click OK.

An indicator will appear in the Device Status section of the Home screen to signify that you are in Safe Mode.

To exit Safe Mode, remove and reinsert the battery again.

i dont understand the point of safe mode, because all my 3rd party apps are still there, and still function. The home screen says SAFE MODE.

Third-party apps that normally start up do not start up. It's a good way to find out what application is a memory hog because you manually launch them. This is also the case on the 8900.
