I back Dawg up on this ... I did not have to change my plan either .. They will try and tell you that you have to. But you don't, it's just a feature update.

Go to the store.... It's easier to do there.

$24.99 is for 10mb
$29.99 is for unlimited (5gb really)
$44.99 is truly unlimited and recommended for BES

Tethering charges depend on what data plan you have too. Their newest book shows all of these prices.

Default 29.99

I just got it, but the service rep had to check with some other location. It is, as stated, only for the BIS plan, not for the BES. The rep also backdated me to the start of my plan at the new lower price.
Thanks Blackberry Forums!!

Default Link to the Verizon Data Plan for Blackberrys

This is the link to Verizon's page that details the plans everybody's talking about.

Hopefully, this will help everybody help the VZW reps out. The $29.99 unlimited plan is for Personal e-mail and web.

Now, if we could only get them to throw in VZNavigator like Sprint's new plan. It's got TV, too.

Default Quick Question

Hi guys,

I just have a quick question. I will be receiving my phone in the next few days hopefully. I will want to use the Web Browser and email and IM and 3rd party applications. Which plan should I choose?

Thank you.

Agreed. Its like the original cell phone. many people got the minimum thinking it would only be used for emergencies.

i got a new response today.
Me: What about the $29 dollar plan.
Rep: You mean 24.99.
Me: No the 29.99 that I read on your website.
Rep: O thats for PDA and smart phone only.
Me: I read on some forums that not all of you were told about it and that you have to look for it.
Rep: I know what your talking about, It's only for smart phones.

I'm just going to stop by the store

I went to Verizon store to see the new 8130 and picked up info booklet with all their plans...the Blackberry data package was 29.99 for unlimited access. Right now I am with Cingular/AT&T with the 8100. Really same pricing so dont see the need to change at moment since minutes not used rolls over with Cingular.

Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving,

Just thought I would share a tidbit of info. I got my BlackBerry yesterday and got it activated. I asked the rep about the $29.99 plan. It turns out you have to be an individual customer, and not be on a Family SharePlan. For those of us on the Family SharePlan, unlimited is still $44.99. I was told, "You can save a lot of money by having your own individual plan instead of on a Family SharePlan."

Hope this helps someone .
