Default Memory Leak and Battery Life

Please Login to Remove!

Are the two releated. I noticed when my battery doesn;t drain my free memory hovers around the same mark since the battery pull but when the battery drains quickly the available memory quickly goes down as well.

Anybody notice it? If it is true, then this is good news because that means when RIM releases a fix for the memory leak, it should take care of the battery life issue.

It's probably whatever is draining the battery is draining the free memory too. For instance if you are on a website that's refreshing constantly that'll drain the battery faster and probably drain the memory. See what apps are running on the STorm.

There must be some kind of link between the two, memory & battery drain. When I get ready to show off the phone, I always pull the battery first.

The only apps that are running, are the ones that should be.

Phone, Web, SMS, Main Screen

How can you close other programs that I apparently have running in addition to Home, Web, Phone, SMS I also have BlackBerry Messenger and Applications Center? I have tried to open the individual applications and open the menu and then close but they are still appearing, Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Disable auto refresh on application center. I deleted the BlackBerry Messenger since I have no use for it. But I did notice that BlackBerry Messenger always remains active. I noticed this on my friends device and my brothers.

When you DELETE a application like BlackBerry Messenger can you easily get it back at somepoint if it becomes necessary?

Yes. Make sure you have the device handheld software installed (not the desktop software) on your machine and just run Application Loader. BB Messenger is part of the package.
