Default Unique Blackberry problem.

Please Login to Remove!

Okay first off I have read and read and read everything there is on this site and others concerning my problem so please don't just link me to a sticky (unless of course I genuinely missed something... in which case my apologies :D).

Onto the problem:
My blackberry (which I believe is a 7250) died a bit ago and so I moved onto a newer version. Anyway work took the newer one back when I quit so now I'm stuck with this shitty as flip-phone.

Long story short I have my old (not working) blackberry with me again and I would like to get it working.

It started by having a JVM error 105 so I wiped it using JL-Cmnder and now it's the 507 error as to be expected.

Here is where the real problem is. I've downloaded the latest Desktop Manger and installed that and I've got the latest Telstra OS (my carrier) but I can get the OS onto the blackberry.

Whenever I get to the part is Apploader where you chose the files you want loaded (with all the check boxes and stuff) I can't click next because it has an error saying:
"The application 'Blackberry 4.1 Core Application' cannot be loaded because some required files are not avaliable"

Moral of the story is.... wth does that mean and how to I fix it?

Thanks in advance guys :D

I would try reinstalling the OS package to the PC, and then try it again. If that doesn't work then find a later version of the OS and try installing that. When using an OS not released by the carrier branded to your BB please make sure you delete the vendor.xml file first or the OS will not load. There is no danger loading other carrier's OS's. Just make sure it's for the 7250.

Check everything except for DOD certificates and languages that you don't need.

hey yeah everything is checked. With the re-installing software I've tried that but it still doesn't work. I'm still trying to frig around with it. Hardware wise it's on the fritz I think. Trying to get it to turn on is a trial as sometimes it doesn't do anything then sometimes it does.

Will continue but I think it's a lsot cause :(

Thanks Mike

Good luck with that. I got my Curve on Friday. Yesterday out of the blue it gave me the never ending hour glass screen after a reboot. I waited about an hour and nothing. I did the recovery steps you are doing and got it to run again but it was still giving me problems, then it happened again. Pulled the battery again and then got error 507. No idea what happened to it, but they replaced it today for me.

Is this the OS package you are using?

File name: 7250EFSBP_PBr4.1.0_rel364_PL2.2.0.120_A4.1.0.309_T elstra.exe

Try this OS:

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...4571FBD180E1C8

AFter you download and install it to your PC go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named vendor.xml.

Then try the process again.

nope still same message.

Also when I try and add the Blackberry.alx from the new folder (new OS I'm assuming) it says "No additional applications designed for your device found" and doesn't allow me to use it.... wtf??

The Blackberry.alx doesn't work that way. Did you edit or replace the Blackberry.alx?

If you can't load the OS then there is no point in editing or replacing the Blackberry.alx. I'm not sure what the problem is. Are you using WinXP or Vista? Are you logged into Windows as an administrator? I'm pretty much at a loss.
