I am using my BB 8800 with a BIS account (GMail). I've noticed that some of the time, I will receive an email with the first paragraph cut off. Usually this occurs when someone has replied to, and quoted, a previous email. I will see the quoted material, but not their reply, which precedes it. When I open the email in GMail directly, though, I will see all of the text, both their reply and the quoted material.

Has anyone else experienced this?

This started happening to me today as well with BIS & my GMail account.

Looking at some other threads with similar issues, it appears that this may be a random, recurring problem for BIS that is usually fixed soon. However this is the first time in 3 years of using a BB that I've experienced this.

I had a similiar problem for a few days now with BIS/Gmail also.
I get the error message of:
"Error in parsing this message. Couldn't display the body part!!!"

Thanks! mjp3475, if you have the chance, can you link to some of the threads you saw? I wasn't even sure what to search for.

Oddly, this seems to be happening in my case only with certain people. I wonder if their email replies are encoded in some way that is being lost in the translation to the Blackberry?
