Default Blackberry not syncing calendar with Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I'm running BES 4.1 with a single user (for now). BES has been up and running for six weeks or so without any problems. Starting at some point last week the user's blackberry stopped syncing with his Outlook calendar. Email is still syncing up as usual, but the Calendar doesn't sync either way.

I was just notified of the issue today and have been searching and trying things all day to get it running without any success. So far I've tried turning the calendar wireless sync off and back on; deleting and undeleting the Desktop [SYNC] and Desktop [CICAL] service books, as well as resending the service books entirely; and deleting the user from BES entirely and recreating him and reactivating the blackberry. Still no calendar synchronization in either direction. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Anything in the event viewer? Also, might want to check to make sure they have only 1 calendar in Outlook..

I ran into an issue recently where they accidently made a "Calendar 2" and were adding stuff there and that wasnt syncing with their BB.. I moved all the events to the first calendar and from the BES told it to force a calendar sync. Right click their name and select Force Calendar Sync..

Assuming Exchange, it's possible you just had the latest security patch applied to the Exch box and not the BES, so your CDO and MAPI32 dll files are not matching. Check them and get the Exch and BES boxes on the same, current version.

Thank you both. I did manage to get it worked out at the very end of the day yesterday. I found that cdo.dll was there, but it wasn't registered. I'm not entirely sure how that came to be, but re-registering the file was all I needed. Thanks for your help!
