Thumbs up Painted the Curve

Please Login to Remove!

I ordered a couple extra cases and tried to personalize them a little. Here's my first attempt in True Blue Pearl and I'm in the process of painting another in Black Pearl. I also put a full body skin on it in hopes I won't destroy it.

I believe I read somewhere that BBalerts will allow you to change the color of the trackball.

Nope BBAlerts only changes the LED on the top right of the BB

You can put a piece of "stotch" tape over the trackball LED and put some colored marker over the tape (like a "Sharpi")

What a pretty color! Is it Colorwared, or did you paint it yourself?

I would like to have one painted a metallic green color. Any chance on getting you to make a 'How To' when you do your other one?

I painted it myself. I ordered a couple extra cases so if I screwed it up I had a back up plus my original.
I'll admit I found the how to on another BB forum.
As for the trackball, I did use a sharpie on scotch tape to get it colored, I actually found the how to on this forum.

My bad, I read now that you did say that. Guess my brain wasn't functioning! But it does look really great, so congrats on the awesome job. I would've never guessed it wasn't professionally done.

That's a nice blue. Did you use a metallic paint -- see some flecks in that. Very nice.

Thanks I used a Pearl paint with a white base coat. It helped give it that look. The paint came from a local hobby shop and is actually designed for remote control airplanes.
