Default Newbie to Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm recently interested in changing from iPhone to Curve, but I have some questions about the curve..

1. Am I able to transfer imgs/ringtones with other phones on bluetooth with curve?
2. 8310 works better with Google Map or 8320? I would think 8310 since it has the GPS locator.
3. If I remember correctly, BB is pretty friendly with Mac correct?
4. What would be some differences I should also look at between 8320 and 8310? I only know the differences between these two are 8320 has Wifi while 8310 has the GPS. I'm leaning towards 8310...

Thanks!! Looking forward to join everyone here.

1.) Yes, you can transfer ringtones via bluetooth from some phones. I don't know about all, but I have transferred ringtones from a RAZR

2.) The 8320 works well with Google Maps but you are correct, you will have your exact location with the 8310 as it does have built in GPS. If you do go with the 8320 you can purchase a bluetooth GPS receiver.

4.) The 8320 and 8310 are pretty much identical other than the WiFi vs GPS. With the WiFi on the 8320 you can make calls via UMA too.

Anyone have the answer to question #3? I have yet to synch my bb to my mac.....
I think another difference with between the 8310 & 8320 is carrier (8310-At&t, 8320-Tmo) unless you purcha$e an unlocked one.
I got on the hype bandwagon and cancelled Tmo & bought the iphone, so now I have At&t, so the 8310 it was, I prefer gps over wifi anyway.

Thanks for the repsonse!!

alib21,
How do you like it switching from iPhone to 8310? This is the exact same switch I'm considering. I'm just a bit over the hype of touch screen, etc...

Much Happier.....
I had the 8700 BB from Tmo then switched the At&t for the iphone. The touch screen is an awesome feature, especially when browsing the web, but emails were slow to receive, battery drained way to quick for me & speakerphone was horrible (I could go on). I'm in business where my emails are crucial (bb is much faster!), I talk on speaker a lot more than I should & battery life is important (much better on the curve, but better on the 8700) I needed something much more durable all round. Curve is just as sleek & pretty for me. More importantly, gets all the jobs done a lil' better (just my opinion).....
