Default After Updating OS

Please Login to Remove!

This is the 3rd time I have updated my OS (now 4.5.0.124) on my Curve 8300, everything went great, except that I now can not go to some web sites, like Google.com. I get the "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider.

My handset is registered.
I resent my Service Book.
I did several battery pulls.
I played around with the Browser settings.

What am i missing?

Go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Hit the menu key and select "Register Now."

Weird... And you turned your network back from Manage Connections?

You may have to give a call to your carrier..

I just don't get it!
Half of my bookmarks work. things like BB Weather and Viigo work fine. I can select a download link in an e-mail and download things, just the browser is not working right.

That's really odd because you can't download without the browser.

When you're adjusting the browser settings are you sure you have the right browser selected at the top of the options page? Is it the same browser that performs the downloads (should be your default IIRC)?

Well - After checking every setting and trying different settings I did get everything working again!
This is the 3 time that I have upgraded my OS on my curve, and version .124 is the first one that does not work well with my BB. I am getting the "Hour Glass" spinning alot.

How much file free do you have? Options -> Status.

Or does it only hour glass when web browsing? (if so change the broswer settings up)

Steve086 - I am great on free file space. I found the problem! The problem was Google Maps Latitude, even thou the program was closed the right way and I selected to NOT continue sharing my location, this turned out to not be the case. I had to deny Google access to the internet. After doing this I rebooted the phone and received an error message saying that Google Latitude was unable to start, then I was able to set it to Not send my location by default. after all that it stayed off after another reboot. Problem solved and no more hour glass. So for me it was not the OS, but some BS

I just might have the sickness! Trying to find the problem and fix it, is what I call BB fun!
