Each time I take a picture with my bold 9650, it is always crappy unlike what I get from my old nokia N70. Could this be as a result of auto focus which is strangely missing on my device ? Or can OS update fix this? Thanks.

No OS update will fix crappy hardware, which is exactly what the camera on all BlackBerry devices is. BlackBerry devices are messaging devices with minimal focus on media.
