Currently installing... the Contact Alert thing is troubling, but it's in .405, so the other fixes make it worth the effort.

Thanks for the report.

1. SMS / MMS showing names is FIXED, but for alerts using the Contact Alert settings for messages, and not the profile's setting.
Are the alerts for your Contact Alert settings working ok? I have a custom profile I made for "Work", and I have a few Contact Alerts set. When they send me a text message, though, it uses the "default" profile setting, and not the Contact Alert setting I have for them.

Wirelessly posted (Bold 9000 (AT&T))

Right now, in .415 it does use the default sms alert. From what I saw with .405 this will change. At some point in the future.

Thanks! I thought it may have been an err on my end when I was deleting modules in the OS.

Default Batch process contacts to remove - ( ) and spaces IE. xxxxxxxxxx

I've got a 9700 with version 5.0.0.351 and have the same problem with texts displaying only the phone numbers not the names.

I could removed all the spaces and ( ) - , etc. but I have 400 contacts to go through.

Anyone know of a program that could do this for me? Would save a lot of time.

Thanks,

Just update your OS to the latest and this problem is solved. Don't bother changing all your phone numbers to some unreadable mess without parens or dashes!!

Apparently 5.0.0.351 is the newest version. I don't want to upgrade to a non official release.

Actually my understanding is that v5.0.0.922/5.0.0.545 is the latest official release. Check it out. I've not had a single problem with it.

You can check it out here
