I don't know dc/dc -- seems like RIM still should come out with some business class phone that is distributed in two versions like the 9630 and 9650 (and probably others), one with camera and one without. Since Blackberry is still primarily business oriented, I can't imagine RIM abandoning the segment of users who are not allowed to take cameras into their work places.

But I wouldn't really expecto see this in a "Pop" BB like the torch.

I agree with you that they should still build them, but I don't expect them to. Further, with the fact that BES can control the camera, there's no real need for different hardware, and most places where phones with cameras are banned they just ban all phones to make it easy on the high-school dropout who is the "security guard".

Hey a resent being called a high school drop-out! I got my GED I think oh wait that was my parole papers
Seriously they made the 9000 without physical camera to meet govt and some business needs. It wouldn't surprise me if they continued to do so. Thought those devices are hard to come by and often have to be special ordered via your carrier

You can always remove the camera module as well
