Default 9630 Battery life

Do batteries in these normal go to terrible battery life over night? I hardly used my phone today. No voice at all, but I only have 15% life left. I hardly ever get that low. Like never.

I was camping in a hilly valley with terrible signal over the weekend and with searching a lot the battery lifes was terrible. Which I expect, but last night with being back home it was on the charger over night.

The typical issue the user leaves data apps running that repeatedly are hitting the network. Also, data apps that are set to run in the background when closed. And leaving the browser open to an active web page. ... Rule out those possibilities.

But also, you seem to be saying the battery was on the charger all night and the battery was still low. If you are sying that, then it's a different issue, and first step is probably to try another battery. But make sure your charger is working. If you are using USB, rule out a problem with the cable or the USB port. Etc.

Only apps running are those you can't close and BeWeather. BeWeather has been on my phone for months and hasn't been an issue before.

The phone charged fine. I was just saying I started the day with a full charge.

Sounds like the battery is wearing out or beginning to fail. If it is happening day after day and you have ruled out apps running and the device constantly in and out of signal range, the I would try another battery.

... Also, to your question whether battery life can change over night, I don't see why not. Premature failure is probably certainly rare, but that doesn't mean it will never happen to you. When I've had a battery wear out, the symptom was short life, not complete and total failure, and I noticed and confirmed it over the span of a day and a half or two days.

Just a fluke I guess. Battery life back to normal today. I've actually used my BB more today and battery is still as 80%. Go figure.

Yep. Weird. Hope it's not something that happens again when you least want it, but you know Murphy.
