I know there has been post on this before but I tried looking for them with no luck :( Please excuse me for posting this question. I currently have an unlimited data plan with cingular and when i looked over my account on line today it says:
Internet & Downloads*
included 1024.0KB
used 4347.0KB
remaining -3323.0KB 0KB
overage 0
I called cingular and asked them why it was like this. The rep said it was probably a system error since he said i have the unlimited data plan. I use my BB mainly for Email and Instant messaging. I have the WAP added to my account so i can use IM+ and Verichat. Does this mean that I over exceeded my usage even if i have the unlimited data plan? I dont want to get a high bill by the end of the month. I was hoping i can resolve this issue with all your help.
If you have an unlimited plan (with the exception of rogers [i think]) then yes, you have unlimited data. As long as you can prove you signed up for unlimited, I wouldn't worry about it. If they bill you for exceeding the data limit then; you just have to prove that you have signed up for the unlimited plan.
one thing to keep in mind is that sometimes, unlimited data plans only cover data that passes through the BB browser or the wap browser. What happens sometimes with 3rd party applications, they are set up so that they don't pass through either one of these and that may result in some charges...no often, but sometimes. Just a suggestion, I would try to watch your usage on im+ and verichat until you actually see a bill come through..
You should be able to call and ask what your current charges are, they post in 2-3 days normally. I just went through this today, I got a bill for $26 for 2.6M of "Data Transfer wireless internet ex", even though I am on a BB unmlimited. They removed the charges and changed my plan allittle and we will see. But they told me to call back in a few days and ask about new charges so I could see if it were fixed.

Wait until you actually get a bill to complain -- no sense in complaining when there's no reason to. My bill looks like that, but I do not get billed per kilobyte.
