Default 8G micro SD card became unreadable

Please Login to Remove!

I play music from the BlackBerry bluetooth over my car stereo driving home. Today the music stopped on the way home. I found the memory card was unreadable. I tried to format and it wouldnt format. I went ahead and pulled the battery. On reboot my card is fine. The data is intact.

I have the quick pull program run every morning before work.

Anyone experienced this?

I just fried an 8GB SanDisk card. Had it two months and suddenly my BB said there was no media card installed. I pulled it out and reinserted it. Nothing. Battery pull with the card in and without it. Nothing. I stuck my old 4GB card in and it registered right away. I tried reformatting the dead 8GB card on my computer and I noticed it immediately got VERY hot! Definitely shorted something out, but I have no idea how. I took it back to Staples and they did an exchange for me, even though I was way past the 14 day period.

Well the back of my Tour does get warm at times. Im not sure its the battery or the mem card. The card is a PNY SDHC 8G. It was @$29 at Best Buy. I think I will reformat the card and reload it.

That is a pretty good deal. I have been using a sandisk 4gb for quite some time. Has gone from Pearl, Curve, now the tour and no problems yet.
