Default Expert and Owner Opinions, New Phone, Bold or Tour?

Please Login to Remove!

So, yet another one! I'm tired of my 8300 and it's 'ghetto' qualities, I've really like the Bold from what I've seen of them, and I'm not wanting to dish out the money that I work hard for. With my upgrade from ATT, I can get a Bold for $200 no taxes, 3G, wifi, all the good stuffs that I 'need'. I was essentially sold on it, until I decided to log on to the forums after a long time and discovered this "Tour" that seems to be the Maybach of the Blackberry world right now.

I don't know much about the Tour, from what I've read, seems like a revamped Bold with some different styling, I've heard all functions are basically identical to the Bold, with some down sides. I also don't know how much it will cost me from ATT with my upgrade (assuming they have it?).

What I'm looking for here are opinions from both sides of the spectrum, the Bold subforum and the Tour subforum, pros and cons of each, what you like, what you hate, what you could live without, what you want more of, what you miss, price, general value, etc. Everything. Hefty request right? I just like to know tons about anything I'm willing to spend my hard earned money on, that should be going toward bills. Thanks to everyone here on the BB forums, and it's good to be back for a while.

Joe

P.S. - I've posted this in both the 9000 and 9600 subforums, sorry for the double, but I need the opinions from both sides.

Tour=CDMA

The Bold seems good though. I think if we all waited for the better phone to come out than what's currently offered we'd all be waiting forever for the that new phone just over the horizon....

Don't know what (if any) new phones are upcoming for GSM.

That said, can't wait to upgrade from my Pearl. Two more months to go....

Hey Joe, no problem. Maybe you should see if there's anything new coming out on ATT soon...might be worth waiting for.

True, as long as it's a Blackberry and not ridiculous, like the Pearl or Kickflip monstrosities. I'll browse around, thanks again.

Wirelessly posted

Tour is a CDMA / GSM hybrid. Although you cannot buy it from AT&T it can be unlocked and will run on their network. Although you won't get 3G ... Edge only here in the states. So to fairly answer your question, the Bold would be the better choice for you.
