Default Tour LED annoyance - anyone else?

Please Login to Remove!

I picked up my Tour on Day 1 (with my wife's blessing thanks to my no-longer-charging 8830). Everything was going great until Wednesday, when my LED would continue blinking even after opening messages. This was consistent across mailboxes and call notifications.

To get past this, I've had to disable LED notification for each mailbox and app; this isn't a big deal, especially since they put the LED in a useless location IMHO. Turning the device off, then back on would stop the LED blink until the next message. There are no saved messages anywhere.

Anything else I should try, or just wait for an OS update?

Is the LED blinking only red? Do you have network notification turned on or Bluetooth?

Battery pull should fix it...i had this happen with my 8830 before. Sometimes it would go away once a new message came in.

Or it's an alert from a 3rd party app that you're missing (Weatherbug, facebook, twitter, etc.)

It happened to me the other day and ended up being a WeatherBug alert

3rd party app notification is most likely the cause. Usually for me, it's the Wall Street Journal reader.

I had this problem without any third party apps running. Battery pull solved it for me.

Other than 3rd part apps, it could also be an SMS/MMS message.
