Calls not getting to 8830

If there are any Verizon folks available, I'd love to hear if you have any experience with this...
I've had my 8830 for a little over a year. Great device, no problems - until now. I know that I've missed at least 3 phone calls in the last week. The person calls, my phone doesn't ring, and there aren't any missed calls in the call log. Two of those callers left me a voicemail, the icon for which showed up just fine. One person didn't leave a voicemail and didn't send me a text message, so I wouldn't have even known they had called if they hadn't contacted me again almost an hour later. Today was the 3rd time it happened. My BB was sitting next to me on the table. It didn't ring and the screen didn't light up. My profile was on normal. I heard the alert for a voicemail message, which is the only way I knew someone had called. I had 5 bars when it happened.
Any idea what's going on? Many of my clients use my mobile # to reach me, and missing their calls is not OK.
