Any way to test the replacement battery in another BlackBerry?

Are you sure you are not running any third-party apps that would be running in the background and hitting the network? You are sure everything but the native BlackBerry apps are completely shut down?

And what about active web page? You've exited the browser?

I'm wondering about a hardware fault then. Does the device get very warm or hot? If you take off the battery cover and touch the battery does it feel unusually warm?

Very strange because just two days ago I began to experience the same problem with both of my OEM batteries which are relatively new.

Before that time both batteries were holding a charge for more than a day with light/medium use.

I'm running OS 4.6.0.247...perhaps it is time to upgrade...or maybe something else is occurring...

Did it happen when you newly got the BB 9000? How long does the phone standby when it is new, and do you apply somthing new apps? And what network do you use, 3G or 2G?

Hello, Everybody!!!

Thank you for the quote - it's very helpfull for me.

Let me tell you now about my problem. I have just got a new BB Bold 9000 from eBay - it start OK, I charged it for 12 hours, the battery was 100% ful, bul after 5 hours it was already dead. I put it to charge again, started the phone and I have check is there any app running - nothing. It a bradn new phone, I didn't even have a chance to put any applications. I turn off the 2g and 3 g, and now the phone is on Egde mode. I've also turn down the display light to 50%, turn off the vibration ets...
What should I do? It can't last for more than 5-6 hours? It's not normal for a new phone. Last time I charge the phone by usb cable - the same issue.

There is something very strange too... when I try to use the camera it says - there are to many app runing. try to shut them down and try again.

Any help for me? Thank you very much in advance!!!
