Default Not all Storm's the same?

Please Login to Remove!

My friend just got a storm the other day, I was over at his house and when I was checking it out I noticed that his screen is much brighter than my almost 2 week old Storm. All of our settings were the same, but his screen just had some more pop to it, although it came at the expense of a bluish tint.

Is this common? I'm thinking of going and swapping it with another storm, but do you think they will let me switch it out for that reason?

If yours is obviously dimmer at 100% brightness setting, I would attempt it. If you are under 30 days in most places, they shoule exchange it for any reason.

ok so i just got back from verizon, turned out to be a huge headache.

they had 2 floor models, one of them was exactly like mine, the other one was obviously "brighter". so i sign on, a few minutes later i get called. employee doesn't seem very friendly and after about a few minutes he says, sorry it's not a defect. I try explaining to him but he doesn't seem to want to listen, so i say fine, i want to return the phone. they try playing the whole "it was purchased online, we can't return in store" game, which it utter BS. i call verizon and they say there is no reason why they can't return it in store, it's obvious this guy is giving me a hard time now. i get the manager to come and he says the same thing, at this point i'm fuming, i calm down a little and he compares my phone with his phone and his is much brighter to, they finally nudge and say they will exchange it (not sure why they wouldn't in the first place). so i get the new one, walk out of the store, and it's the same as before.

i don't really mind, just wanted piece of mind, looks like there are two versions of the storm, a bright one, and a regular one.

Supposedly those Storms manufactured in Canada have a brighter "bluer" tone to the screen than those manufactured in Mexico. If you look under your battery I'm betting that you have one from Mexico, which is where mine is from. I haven't seen a Canadian Storm, so I'm still happy with mine!

there you go! it's brighter but has a bluish tint to it..it's only annoying when you compare it side by side...the diff is night and day but i'm not going to attempt to return this one again...i'll live with mine.

The blue tint is a reflection off the snow. . . . . and we are all quite bright up here!

I have had two Storms and both are Canadian. I am in Florida.

I have heard that Mexican Storms have several issues, one being dust under the screen.
