Roxio.. wtf.. i can't even install my desktop disk.. HELP

I get about halfway through the install of the disk that comes with the Bold when it tells me i need roxio.. whaa.. shouldn't the bold come with all the required software.. Im lost. The curve i had was a snap. that disk worked fine and i was transfering movies to my blackberry in no time.
You don't need Roxio Media Manager to transfer media. In the setup options, just un-tick Roxio Media Manager.
K when i open the Blackberry Desktop Manager
I click on the Media option.
I click the start on the media Manager option.
The roxio for media manger starts to open then i get an error message that it can not start and has to shut down.
The RIM website offers downloads of the latest versions of Desktop Manager with or without the Roxio add-on. Try downloading and installing a version with Roxio first-if the problem persists, try a version without it. The link is below:
Do you happen to have Roxio or Sonic related software on your computer?
If you have, remove it and attempt to reinstall it, as the version that comes with the Bold might be a more updated version, always remove older versions as overwriting an existing installation might cause the software to be corrupted.
k here is where i stand now. Thank you very much for all of your help. when i try to uninstall the older version of my blackberry software it tells me i have another version "being installed" and to finish the install before attempting to uninstall the old version.. im stuck. i can not DL the new version and i can not uninstall the old version..

If you are running Windows on your comuter, go to Control Panel>Add and Remove Programs. Remove any version of Desktop Manager that you see in your Installed Programs. Then try downloading DM again.

Yes i have tried that. when i click the remove option i get the error.
"another instalation is already in progress, please finish that install before installing this one"
If its just the media portion of the desktop thats not working, try use Windows Media Player if you have it. I just use that transfer songs onto my Bold. It sorts it out nice and carries over the album art.
