Strange Bold os versions

Dear All,
I've noted that some of my company Bold (all with 4.6.0.147 os) have different "Micro Edition Configuration" version. Some with 1.0.115.138 and some other with 1.0.115.235.
I think the Micro Edition Configuration is the JAVA version, but why same BB OS and different Java platform version? How to upgrade it?
Another things: I have one of those Bold that is receiving only the very first part of every email it receive. It is strange, I tried to wipe everything and config again, reinstall the OS, re-config the BIS account, send configuration data etc. Some suggestions?
