Default Messages missing

Since I got my bold I started get disappeared messages. I now how lack of memory can screw logs up; still, I get no problems with my call logs or bb messenger conversation history. I checked my free memory and I've got plenty.

I have no idea why would this happen. Has anyone else got the same problem?

under messages -> menu->options->general options is the "keep messages" set for a certain amount of days or forever?
if set to a certain amount of days it could be getting rid of messages after this point, if set to forever, im not sure.

The erased messages are not older than 30 days. In fact they are dated the same day they disappear.

hmm.
are you on BES or BIS?
Do you check the emails on the pc via outlook from example?

It may be possible that are soon as they are downloaded onto the pc, they are removed from the server and may dissappear from the phone.

I'm on BIS. I checked my reconciliation options but curiously I get none for that account.

Yeah, but you would be surprised to see how many said the same about, say 1.8 MB.

I am assuming that this is Outlook? You need to make sure that in your Outlook emails settings "Leave on server" is checked.

Mmm I see. I use Mac OSX Mail, but in fact messages are erased from the server as soon as they are downloaded. I have always used my bb this way and never had this problem before.

Do you think it has to be with the mail reconciliation thing?
