Default Bold 9000 - Frozen with red light?

Please Login to Remove!

I just did an OTA install of the XBerry Live app, actually an upgrade of it, it then said the Bold needed to reboot so I said ok, and then the red light came on and just hung, the screen darkened a bit and now even after a battery pull as soon as I put the battery back in the red light stays on and the screen is at the same place frozen, but really dark????

It seems as though there is a TINY battery also beside the SIM card. I think it is keeping memory, is there another way to hard reboot this device??

Plug the device to DM without battery and reinstall OS

I read somewhere there is a way to boot the device into safe mode. Can't remember where I saw it, but I think it was hold down the Shift or the Alt key after a battery pull.

This just happened to me now, except I wasn't doing anything except charging the unit via USB. I came back in the room to pick it up and it had frozen with a solid red light. Have restarted and all seems to be ok.

I have had it happen twice and had to do a battery pull to fix. This is on the xx.162 release here, what are you running?
