Hey everyone, Posting here on behalf of my friend... My friend got a Blackberry 8830 that is on the Bell Mobility network (CDMA), here in Canada. My friend is currently on the Rogers network (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) with a 7800. What has to be done to the 8830 so that he can use it on his existing Rogers account to replace his 7800? No. As mentioned, the hardware does not support north American GSM. It will not work, and cannot be modified to work.
