Default 9300 .. Help

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all , im new to the forums but im in need of desperate help!

Ive had my blackberry 9300 for at least 6months now , its starting to get a little battered etc.

a few weeks ago i left my bb charging , i woke up the next day and turned it on , worked fine .. full battery!? minutes later i get the message "Battery drained" shutting down handheld. I Thought how could this be possible? full battery ? i kept on trying to turn it on and it loaded up , then went off .. i had the phone repaired and the shop said it was the battery , so they replaced it... when i received it it worked fine .. for about 10mins that is , it did the exact same as before! even with a new battery!! now it wont turn on at all , ive tried almost everything! updating the 0S , Wiping it and yesterday it loaded with the error 507! im unsure on what to do , can anyone shed some light?

Thanks

Kylee

The 507 error means no device software. The solution would usually be reloading the OS, but you have some issues.

As I was reading I was thinking battery, and got to the part about the shop diagnosing bad battery, but then got to the end.

Could be hardware failure. I would try a battery that you know is good and see what happens. Borrow a battery if you can.

You first need to reload the OS to get rid of the 507 error. See the sticky at the top of the 9300 section for the OS for your specific device and the instructions. Follow them exactly. I would actually recommend installing the OS that came with your device rather than an update.

Then for the battery problem. Have you let the battery run down past 20% on a regular basis or more than a couple times? If so, you could have damaged it - which sounds like the problem. Replace it with an OEM one, made for your device, not a cheap eBay knock off.

See the sticky at the top of the Help Section. There is an article there that may provide a solution.

Also you may have to replace the battery first if its totally dead.
