Started using Dropbox. Downloaded on my computers and BB 9700. Cannot open MS Word/Excel files on BB. Msg says application not available. No problem opening regular email with attachments. thanks for any help here.

Their site does not state you can open the files only share so maybe has the name suggests it's only a storage point. Also it does indicate you need to reload the BB after installing. Not sure if that willl help. I would suspect the error is correct.

TSAC: many thanks for your quick response. I did reboot as required. I find it interesting that the file types .doc, .xls show in the dropbox, but my BB says it cannot open. Something must get translated when i put the file in the dropbox, OR there is a setting to be done on my BB after downloading the app. Mysterious!

Unfortunatly their web site does not offer any help. It may be that your thoughts are correct. They only claim to be able to store,forward or email documents on the BB.
