Default Data Connection Problem

Please Login to Remove!

My Tour fluctuates from 1XEV to 1x. It seems that there is a phone connection problem with my phone/carrier. My phone is going in and out of data service. I have done the 228 option, resent service books, hosting routing table - register now, pulled the battery. Do I have a lemon?\

The only thing left that I havent tried is calling ##000000 and then going to SIP password and placing vzw followed by a save and restart

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Sounds like you may have a reason to return and get a replacement device!

I have a similar experience here, but that was the same with my Curve. I'm in a VZW hole here, and there are only certain places where I get a one or max two bars in the house.

I'm in a saturated area and have terrible (very unstable) connectivity from home. With that said... my signal seemed to be bouncing much harder than usual yesterday afternoon, fluctuating from 1XEV to 1X to no service at all, and no bars to 1 or 2 bars. So I'm not sure if it was worse than usual, but it sure seemed like it as I struggled to get apps installed on the Tour.

I think you live near me. Make sure you are using auto b and 1XEV

Some adjustments were made. Issie may be the phone debating on a Global vs CDMA network

AK, Good call on changing the global default to 1XEV. I missed that one. I'll see if that helps. Thx. Also, I dont' live close. I'm in KC. All carriers are saturated in my neighborhood, so it's not just vzw, otherwise I'd switch.
