Default Major Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Well I finally decided to do a major upgrade. I am going from a 8700 (with v4.0.1.10) to a 9000 (that currently has v4.6.0.282). I do use it for work and the tools that have a lot of data in are : Calendar, Tasks, Memo Pad, Password Keeper. If I am upgrading to this new software will I lose any of this?

I have done a archive back-up. I also sync at home and at work.

Thanks for the help!

Wayne

Wirelessly posted (9520; (I'm mobile))

No. You won't lose any of those apps or functions.
You'll find it easy to use the Desktop Manager > Switch Device wizard.

If the tasks, memos, calendar and contacts are in Outlook, you can still sync to that as well.

Thanks Everyone. Will I lose any of the data that is in the applications i.e. appointments in my calendar or To Do's in My Tasks?

I do use Outlook.

Thanks Again!

You shouldn't, but one has to remember that you are dealing with computers so anything can happen.

However, it is not very likely that you would lose anything.

Quick question - why 9000 and not 9700?

It came down to price. I was able to get a 9000 for $300 Cdn and I couldn't get a 9700 for less than $550. I actually like the larger size of the 9000 and don't care about the camera. The only thing that worried me was the track ball sticking but the one I bought seems to be fine.

Thanks,
Wayne

Don't carry it in your pocket. Dirt and lint can get under the ball causing it not to work properly. Always use the case.
