My web browser is missing. I have tried everything. I've re-activated. I've checked the TCP. I've done the Host Routing Table.
What else can I do??

Did you plug the device into your PC and run Desktop Manager/Application Loader by chance? If so, you may need to reinstall your OS in order to get it working again.

Before doing that, you may want to try sending the browser service book from the AT&T BIS site.

are you using the RED or Black Pearl?

I have been seeing this very issue lately dominantly with the RED Pearl for some reason.

I have a link at work that I will post tomorrow when I am back there that will resolve this issue fairly easily.

maybe just the icon is missing? When I first got my pearl there was no web browser app shortcut, I had to click the menu button and then 'show all' and sure enough it was there...just gotta make it visible.

You'll need to load the OS package to the PC along with your desktop Manager.

I upgraded to the most recent TMO OS and had this same problem. It doesn't show up when I do a show-all, but I can access it by using alt-esc to switch between programs. The browser then works normally.

So it's installed on the device, but the icon doesn't show up.

I should note I had some issues during install and should probably reinstall. My Google Maps also stopped working, I've found a few other post on that, but no luck so far.

I had the same problem with mine. I reinstalled OS and did everything else but ended up calling customer support and they pushed it to my phone.

i have the same problem, 1st i had no browser, but had BBMAPS, then i got BBMAPS working and now i have no BROWSER! whats going on! how do i fix this? i dont have a plan so im pay as go, i would rather fix it thru my data cable or something that is free of charge, i dont use the browser much, but i do use it once in a while and i do like the icon just being there!

ANy ideas guys?

My icons are there, but after upgrading my BB Browser and Google Maps no longer work. I tried to upgade from GMaps 1.5.1 to the newest 1.6.1 but it stalls at 4 on the loading screen. The BB Browser does not even attempt to connect. Yet MediaNet browser and Opera Mini work perfectly. Not a clue as to whats going on.
