Your Options could be in a folder, under settings, if you have certain themes on your BB.

You won't get internet browser without a BlackBerry Data Plan from your carrier. That will not interfere with your Options menu, however.

You should not have to exchange the BB. You certainly have an options menu, you just have to find it. It could be called "settings" or "tools" on your screen, but the icon commonly looks like a wrench.

Yes I found Wrench that called Options. According to the manual General Options is located to Options>General Options. but I could now find General options in the Options menu. it is like some problem, I don't know why.

What are you trying to do? Your description is very vague and there are a number of option menus on the BlackBerry.

As far as your internet connection goes... Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? This is not a typical cellular data plan, it is specific to BlackBerry devices.

Yes, I found Messages > Options > General Options. but I cannot found Options > General Options. it is supose to be there, right? so, I want to know my phone is problem or not. also, I checked User Guide, it says that General Options is under the Options menu. but it is not there. also, I told with Tmobile Blackberry suppoter. he says that he cannot find General Option in the Options Menu even User Guide described about General options.

so, I want to know that my phone is something wrong or User Guide is Wrong or Newest Blackberry does not have General Option menu( Option > General options )

I want to really change this option but I cannot change without general options.

also, Tmobile Blackberry suppoter says that he doest not have General options section with his User guide. I was so~~ comfused about this.

accodding to User guide (page 25)

Set the default volume for calls

1. In the phone, press the Menu key.
2. Click options
3. click General Options.
4. Set the Default Call Volume field.
5. Press the Menu key
6. Click Save.

thank you for your help...

Han, go to the PHONE DIALER screen. NOT the home screen.
2. Click options
3. click General Options.
4. Set the Default Call Volume field.
5. Press the Menu key
6. Click Save.

The user guide is correct here, you just have to go to the PHONE options.

Han, refer to the larger Manual, not the user guide. There are detailed instructions in there.

Here is the manual:

http://www.heartinsanfrancisco.com/pearlmanual.pdf

As others said, you have to be in each feature to access the "general options" for that, such as e-mail, phone, etc.

You need to:

Press the green phone key on your keypad [which goes to the phone dialer screen that JSanders is referring to].

Then scroll up to the blank line at the top so that your cursor is in the blank space [and NOT highlighting any of the call log numbers showing on a list].

Then press the <menu key> [dotted key to left of trackball]

Then scroll to <options>

Click the trackball.

You will then see the <General Options>.

I think the mistake you are making is NOT clicking the green phone key so that you get into the phone options menu.
