Default Remove default Browser bookmarks?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to remove the Browser default bookmarks?

I have the standard Links bookmark set as well as O2 Active, which mean I don't have much room for the bookmarks I actually have an interest in.

If possible I would like to remove and/or make the Links and O2 Active bookmarks write-able so I can make better use of the real estate I have available.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Sorry, don't know how that works. But it would be nice to know. So if anyone knows how to do this, I would appreciate an answer ;)

I don't know what you see, but I have, for instance, t-zones, web links and blackberry bookmarks folders. I have deleted the preinstalled bookmarks in the web and blackberry folders in the usual way: click in the bookmark and select delete. Is that not working for you, or is it a different issue, or what?

I have the curve 8310 and have tried to delete the preinstalled bookmarks (Links, MediaNet, MediaNet QuickLinks) but there is no Delete option under Menu.... Is this possible?

I defer to someone who knows for sure, but if you don't have delete in then I would assume it can't be deleted. As far as I know, my t-zones is analogous to your media net. I just checked and found I can't delete the home bookmark in the t-zones folder (there is no delete in menu). So, if a hard reset doesn't isn't the cure to restore delete to then seems to me it isn't available. Maybe someone else will correct me if I'm wrong.

You can only delete folders and bookmarks that you created. You can not delete the folders or bookmarks that are on the device out of the box.

This is definitely the functionality I get. Any idea where the bookmarks are stored to remove them by hand?

I just searched to find out the same thing. Must be a hack for this. Anyone?

Thanks!

I think it is stored inside one of the service books, medianet browser or BB browswer service book? I don't think it can be modified.
