Default phone tune

Please Login to Remove!

I'm really confused, I can't get my phone to ring with the personal custom phone tune, everytime someone in my address book with a personal custom phone tune calls, the general phone tune plays

for example my phone tune is: nas- get yourself a gun
and my contact personal phone tune is: tupac - changes

but when he/she calls the nas- get yourself a gun ringtone plays..
i don't understand

Make sure that smart dialing feature is setup correctly. It might be making your phone think that the number is a new one while it is under your contact with the country code.

I am having the same problem with incorrect ringtones (general one rings instead of assigned one). TMo couldn't figure it out and they said it was a software issue so they told me to go in the store today and exchange my phone since it is still within the 30 days. Before I go thourgh the trouble, sshould smart dialing be set to a country code? It is already on the US default (+1) but, should it be on unknown instead? Thanks.

I found the problem
The problem was that the ringtones that I assigned to my faves contacts. I set the custom phone tunes through the address book and that was the problem. You have to go to your faves, then edit and add the custome phone tune there.
MY MISTAKE!!
I found the problem while talking to a Tmobile rep, I told him how I found out, and he started writing everything down, because that information was not available for them, thank you you are the best lol he was really happy haha

The MyFaves and ringtones have got to be the most maddening thing ever. I'll try removing the ringers from the entry in the address book and only having them on the myfaves, but I think I tried that already and it didn't work.

Also, can someone tell me how to verify smart dialing is set up correctly?

Thanks!
