Default Can't connect to Desktop Manager

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to install a Blackberry onto a laptop and the software installs fine. However, when I pull up the Desktop Manager, it says "Disconnected". It cannot seem to connect to the device. The PC is recognizing the Blackberry as new hardware. Any advice?

Try manually setting it to the USB port under connection settings.

Don't know your situation but if the laptop has not added the BB as new hardware it will not connect. If company policy keeps you from adding new hardware and you are not a local admin on the machine then you won't be able to get it to work. You will need to login as someone with local admin privis and plug in the device, let the OS recognize it and add it, then you can go back in as yourself and add it in the desktop manager.
