This gets asked a lot. There is even an FAQ on it.

Camera - How do I turn off the clicking shutter sound? - BlackBerryFAQ

A search would have found it very quickly...

Unfortunately, it's it turns out to be why we're here. If people would search we wouldn't need to post the same things over and over and over again.

We put together BlackBerrFAQ.com for that very reason.

I know, I know. (It was strictly tongue in cheek.) I search this forum and Crackberry a lot, just to do it. I find lots of good stuff, but I never have problems to search. Kind of like reading the dictionary.

I used this address in my phone browser and the app works great. Type it exactly as shown upper and lower case. someone posted that this app seems to make the phone quiet when using on speaker phone, I have not tried that but have tried the app and it works really well.
