Did you create a Slacker account online? I've never seen anything about a trial version, and I have the free version. I had it on my Curve and now the Tour. One thing I like about Slacker is that you can cache stations to the media card and listen when there's no signal or you have to turn the radio off like an an airplane.
Thx, yes the cache feature would be cool.

I pulled the battery like others have said and the icon appeared. I registered online from the BB after the down load to the BB.

Maybe, somehow it loaded the premium version if you say you have never seen a end of trial period message.

I'll re down loaad the program and try again. I'll report back when I find the issue. But I did not want to go through all that again if they were now giving you just a 15 day free trial.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

My initial issue with Slacker was battery wear and tear. Maybe its improved I don't know.

I think for the trial, they let you try the paid service for free for 30 days. It should offer it up when you exit the Slacker application. IIRC, you get unlimited skips and no ads if you pay.

Like Pandora, if you stream from the mobile net, it sucks battery. Caching is the way to go!

I don't see any category for talk radio on Slacker. It's stations are internet stations only, not real radio stations. iheartradio has talk stations, real stations, in many different cities. If you are looking for talk, you might check it out. It's limited to Clear Channel stations. It has 2 talk stations in my area.

Does wifi usage cause streaming radio to cause you to exceed 5 gig limits. Any effect or just another path to internet? Verizon limits are supposedly guidelines....... Thank you for information.....

If you are using wi-fi, I don't think it's using your data. But none of the current vzw phones have wi-fi.

This document was posted here previously somewhere and I saved it. It shows data usage by activity and how many time it takes to reach 5 GB.

Does anybody know how to set the Tour to mass storage? I've tried caching my stations, and it won't work for me when I connect w/USB. I've tried accessing my card via My Computer like the Slacker help says to try, but I cannot find the Slacker caching exe that is supposedly supposed to be there.

Haha, nevermind, I just found it.

For anybody else looking for it, it is under Memory section in the Options.

Too bad there isn't a way to have BBF detect the thoughts of those who are a little lax on the search button and intercept them instead!!

Maybe a new website called

"search or read the f*&^ing manual like I did, please, I'm begging you!"
