Here's how I use it. Get the jar file. The jad is pretty much useless (most of the time, but that's a different story). After you get the jar file access your media card (or device memory) and make a directory.

I named mine OTA and placed it next to my blackberry folder on my mediacard.

After you have placed the jar file on the phone disconnect from the pc and open the media center on the phone. Once opened click on the menu button and select "explore". Once in you'll be looking at the stuff on your phone in a file manager view. Navigate to the jar file and push down on the trackball with it.
Go through the prompts and PRESTO!
There you have it!
