I have a curve with verizon love the phone does everythign I want butthinking about getting the tour. If i get the tour is that a upgrade from the Curve? I took a look at a lot of reviews on the Tour and I saw a few reviews that concern me?
1) Just keep in mind that you cant install applications to a microSD Card on a tour? what does this mean?

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Phone has more memory, runs on a 4.7 OS, a bit faster in certain places, better quality camera, better resolution screen

Applications are always installed to device memory on all BlackBerrys. They cannot be installed to a media card. There's one 3rd party program that can store them, or store the installer files, on the card, but the apps always run from device memory. The Tour has 256 compared to 96 on the Curve, so there's plenty of room for apps.

Thanks daphne. Now is there anything the Tour cannot do that the Curve does? Any function the Tour cant do that the Curve does? what will you recommend to stay with Curve or Tour?

I can't think of anything the Tour can't do that the Curve does. I upgraded from the Curve to the Tour and am very happy. Have you been to a Verizon store and played with the Tour? I'd do that before making a decision -- see how you like it and how it feels to you.

I haven't played with the Tour much. My Gf barely puts hers down, but from what I did see, there are a couple of shortcut keys that are no longer there or have been moved. Like the R for alarm and F for profile?

Only thing I think you are going to have a problem with is the trackball.

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...em-solved.html

Might want to read through that one. I am on my third tour now because of the trackball being so bad. Other than that the phone is amazing.

My brother has the tour as well as the storm, and just by playing with the two side by side, it would be a big improvement going fromt he curve to the tour. Let us know what you decide

SYDMAN I read your post about trackball. I know your 30 days return phone ran out so if it did not run out would you off kept the tour? With the 30 days return policy can you return it to the store in your town or u have to ship it out sydman or anyone can answer this question?

The first time I swapped it out they just gave me a new one in store. Second time I went back they said they didn't have any so he ordered me one. But it was a "like" new replacement. Customer service said I should go to the store and make them give me a new one.

So SYDMAN you would recommend the Tour over the Curve? Only problem you have is the trackball?
