C'mon folks - let's read this carefully...

Bluetooth® radio connection functionality that enables a BlackBerry device that is running version 4.1 or later of the BlackBerry Device Software to communicate with BlackBerry Desktop Software that is running on a computer with Microsoft® Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or later over a Bluetooth wireless radio connection. See knowledge base article KB-04132 at http://www.blackberry.com/knowledge...&nodeId=1067250 for a complete list of Bluetooth transceivers that are supported in Windows XP Service Pack 2

I'm sorry that I'm so confused but will I be able to back up my BB wirelessly as long as I have the newly released 4.1 software installed?

Yes the handheld version of the new software. The desktop version is only half, in order to try to use the bluetooth with the new desktop version released today, it is my understanding that you need to also have the handheld version of 4.1, so if i understand that right i am anxiously waiting for it.

You will, when it is released. RIM has released version 4.1 of the *Desktop* software. You will also need version 4.1 of the *Handheld* software, which has not been released yet, to do Bluetooth sync.

Joe,
who is really anxious for Bluetooth Sync.

Well, I got it cleared up but I had to hit the reset config button. The problem is it dumped all my mappings so now I have to get creative and figure out everything I did before. A promising weekend with my BB....

guess they are waitting for the new blackberries to be made public before releasing 4.1 *Handheld* which i got it all cleared up now. But it looks like they are moving ahead of unlocking some of the bluetooth features. Maybe they can unlock more with software updates ? How far will they go is my guess. But will be and interesting one to see where this unfolds in the next couple of months.

I think this is great... I think RIM is really starting to listen to its consumer base now.

EDIT: what is the certificate sync going to do for me or anyone?

Double EDIT: I am getting a sync error at home now, get an "unexpected error" when trying to sync. I am not on a BES.
